Meet me in Milano…

When I say meet me in Milano…It’s a message to all of my BFFs! You ask why? One word SHOPPING! Milan is it girls, just imagine it’s the birth place of Fashion Designers like Prada & Armani! But of course aside from great shopping there are these amazing treasures of the world that need attention like pictured above is the Cathedral or Dumom di Milano. This gorgeous  Gothic Cathedral took five centuries to complete and is the fourth-largest church in the world. Also Milan’s Famous one of kind, Leonardo da Vinci’s The Last Supper, La Scala opera house and Castello Sforzesco. Simply Amazing!
Ok, back to shopping!  Armani, Versace, Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, Pucci, Gucci and many more took off on Milan’s runways. Fashionistas make a pilgrimage here to shop at the designers’ flagship stores in the Quadrilatero d’Oro (Golden Quad).  Who knows while walking around the Quad, you might run into Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise , Victoria Beckham or better yet David Beckham! Ofcourese I was looking but didn’t run into anyone famous. But I sure did have a blast checking out the latest fashions & trends!
As you can see, Milano has the most Beautiful Architecture. Everything about the city screams class. Same goes for its exquisite cuisine. Milanese cuisine is famous for its Rice or Risotto, which tends to be more popular than pasta.
Another famous dish in Milanese Cuisine is Polenta!

Ah, lovely memories! We lived for 7 years in Milano – I worked in a high-end millinery studio on Via Montenapoleone in the heart of the fashion district – and we loved it! The people, the food, the gorgeous city! Live there long enough and you do run into famous people – Jean-Paul Gaultier, Oprah Winfrey (shopping), and my husband’s office was next door to where Miuccia Prada lived and worked! We joked about that! I so love this city and dream of being able to live there again!
